Launch of the AIR 77
Source : Yachtsmagazine.com - July 2013

Based in Quebec, Oxygène Yachts is gearing up to present its first hull, a 75-foot (23-meter) catamaran called the AIR 77. Grabbing attention in an industry as competitive as the luxury yacht market isn’t easy, but the distinctively sleek, glass-walled style of the AIR 77 will at least garner her a few double-takes when she debuts in Cannes this year. The brainchild of Frédéric Sarfati and Raphaël Krepser, this catamaran offers almost 3,014 square feet (280 square meters) of living space including an incredibly open main deck, allowing straight-through passage from the shaded seating on the aft deck to the expansive foredeck. This forward lounging space is accessible not only via the port and starboard walkways, but through a large hydraulic door built into the front glass wall. In fact, the entire main deck living area is surrounded by glass, making it harder to find a wall than a window. An aft staircase lifts passengers to the sundeck that is nearly invisible in profile. Due to its light weight and the use of Ultrajet/Masterjet hydrojet drives combined with twin 260 horsepower Volvo engines, the AIR 77 can reportedly reach 12 knots while only using 11 gallons of fuel per hour and maxes out at 20 knots. The AIR 77 has four ensuite guest cabins and two double cabins for crew, also ensuite.
