Despite
its significantly light
framework - for an unladen
weight of 35 tons only -
Powercat AIR 77 boasts extreme
strength and reliability,
thanks to its wood, epoxy
and carbon-made structure.
|
|
Powercat AIR 77 has been
designed and conceived without
compromising on environmental
protection, a challenge
which gave birth to a product
that pushes the boundaries
of eco-responsibility.
|
|
An
extensive study of hulls
(François Maillet), and
an expert knowledge in windage
and aerodynamics both led
to the conception of a ship
that can reach a cruise
speed of 12 knots, with
a fuel consumption that
does not exceed 11 US gallons
per hour.
The
Ultrajet/Masterjet hydrojet
drives, combined with 2
Volvo engines of only 260
hp each, push Powercat AIR
77 along at a maximum speed
of 20 knots.
|
|
The
hydrojets save us from dealing
with the problems caused
by classic propeller engines,
give us more space on board,
and, last but not least,
provide us with optimum
maneuverability.
